Ledger Account
  • Ledger Accounts – a group or file of accounts
  • An account – a page specifically designed to record the changes in each individual item affecting the financial position
When placing transactions in t-accounts:
  • be sure to place items on the proper side
  • number and circle each transaction
  • final totals for each account are circled and placed on the proper side
Transaction Analysis Sheet
  • List all debits 1st
  • Be sure that the debits and credits are equal
